Beyond visible

2018 - 2020

Material, as an object which accommodates contexts, is an essential element in my work; its origin becomes a foundation for storytelling. Raw materials (pigments and rocks) contribute to the visual narrative by revealing the path and significance of the creative process. The series arose from a willingness to grasp the connection between deep-rooted traditions - classical mosaic and pigment-making techniques - and the present.

Installation; paintings made with natural earths, mosaics on decayed objects (collected from abandoned urban areas), and artefacts of the creative process.
