Interwoven landscapes

2024

The project brings together scientific and poeticapproaches towards the landscape, emphasizing theinterdependence between territories of land and water while engaging with the phenomena of deep time. In my research, a dialogue unfolds between human and material, rethinking relationships through the gesture of observation and non-intrusive encounters. During the residency at Camargo Foundation, I looked into the geological and cultural dimensions of iron hydroxide formations in the National Park of the Calanques. These materials, shaped by erosion and sedimentation, are the result of slow processes that span timescales beyond the grasp of the human cognition.

The project was developed during the residency Coast, Land & Sea Interdependent at Camargo Foundation (Cassis, France) in collaboration with Nida Art Colony.
